Soulmate In Time
Jul 1st, 2009 | By Tari Marshall-Day | Category: Poetry | 484 viewsThe street
Dark, sad, empty
The heart
Love without objective
Hope without reality
Too far, too lost
Medusa will roam again
Troy burns on the holy ghat
The silence of the Ganges
Lapps against the fraying
Mosaic of….sleep
Where am I led
By a hand that entices
But remains obscure?
Temptation but one obstacle
Multiplying by the very
Birds that fly
Oh summer, winter
Lucid spring, dying autumn
Where is thy fifth season
Escaping the claws of sudden despair
Conception
Creation
Emotion, response
Life but a shadow
Life but an escape
The advertisement
The dove
An abstraction
A cloud
Where it ends
The world begins
But one thought cascades down
Kills the rest
Love for one
Concern for many
Hate for none
Past, present, future
All one in this thought
And then you were in my dream last night
Perfect smile
Great laugh
Walking over
Green, green fields
You could be you
I could be me
Gypsies in time
The street, dark
But not empty
I smiled
In humble recognition
Vulnerable to the core
I am honored
You were in my dream last night

A very nice piece of writing here,
Hola chica… Me encanta tu poema. Mr and Mrs Long would be very proud of you, and would make all of us analyze it!!
Incredible work, this poem moved me to the very soul.
