Mid-March
Jul 6th, 2009 | By Susan Walker | Category: Poetry | 279 viewsDark gray skies behind black birds
Waiting in bare-boned trees
Watching.
Drab sentinels of Winter,
Bright harbingers of Spring
They return too soon
Seeking Spring’s rebirth
In Winter’s slow demise

About Susan: I am happily married with 2 children 16 and 19. I am a fairly new poet in that I have just found the courage to share my poetry with a wider audience. When I'm not writing or hanging out with my family, I enjoy yoga and studying Sanchin-Ryu karate where I have earned my 2nd degree black belt. |
