Fear
Jun 10th, 2009 | By Susan Walker | Category: Poetry | 255 viewsDarkness lurking in the corners of my mind
Seeing my inattention, it creeps
Gliding swiftly, cold damp tendrils wrap
Around my heart then *SNAP* it pounces
I realize too late that once again
I am paralyzed

About Susan: I am happily married with 2 children 16 and 19. I am a fairly new poet in that I have just found the courage to share my poetry with a wider audience. When I'm not writing or hanging out with my family, I enjoy yoga and studying Sanchin-Ryu karate where I have earned my 2nd degree black belt. |
