Between The Worlds

So long I have lived in this world,
But I only have rented them both,
And my lease keeps changing, inexplicably.
I do not need a lawyer or a linguist
To understand, nor even a physicist,
Mathematician, physician or philosopher,
But a sorcerer who comprehends
The underlying magic, cosmic and quantum,
That animates it all.
Only he can lift the spell
That leaves my lonely consciousness
Isolated, without certain home
Or place.
