The Way to My Hometown

Jun 23rd, 2010 | By Liu Hong-ping | Category: Poetry | 548 views

The way to my hometown is far and long
Every day I measure it with my gaze
A wisp of willows and a evening drizzle
Couldn′t veil my homesickness

The folksongs from my hometown
Awaken me by nights
Birds are silent in their nests
Only trees standing with their shadows

The river in my hometown
Snaking around past views
Yonder stand my parents
Whose looks follow the winding path

The way to my hometown is far and long
Everyday I measure it with my heart
Could memories gradually slip
Containing nothing of hope
