Candyland

Cacao crème dollops
Infuse dream familiarities
but ‘Nirvana’ it is not.
On arrival
in Willy Wonka
Immaculata
I felt ‘destination.’
I tasted ‘home’.
But pixy-stix moments
Form defenestrate patterns
Taffy twisting flails of
Glazed mint hope.
And so they come, the
Licorice banshees,
tear-spout harbingers
Of sour drop remorse.
Thus, the lamentations nestle
As unanswered store bell tolls
shattering peppermint lie.
What shall I do with such
succulent shards?
