Editor’s Desk: What’s News at Troubadour 21
Aug 23rd, 2009 | By Carlton Lloyd Smith | Category: News | 657 viewsAfter two months in print (or pixelation as it were) we have had some exciting growth here at Troubadour 21. We have had over 1300 unique visitors to the site and almost 13000 page views. And while this doesn’t yet put us on the map in the larger internet world, we are very encouraged by the start.
We are now up to 26 Troubadours published on the site, giving you a wide array of pieces to read and view. And we are always looking for new contributors. Our poetry section has become our biggest success and we are receiving new submissions lately at an increasing rate, which we are very excited about. We are encouraging all of our writers and artists to continue submitting, and we are particularly looking forward to more short stories, art and photography. So, send us your submissions. We would love to showcase your work here.
New to the Site
The latest addition to T21 is our mailing list. This list will be used to send out updates and announcements, and primarily we hope to generate discussion among our readers. To subscribe to the mailing list Click Here
We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new merchandise store at CafePress. You can go to www.cafepress.com/troubadour21 to get T-Shirts, mugs, notebooks and many other items adorned with the T21 logo. All of your purchases here will help us grow the site, implement better technologies and make your experience here even better.
Coming Soon
We have recently been approved as a partner for IndieBooks.com. Look for links in the next couple of weeks that will allow you to make purchases from indie stores through our site.
If you have any suggestions for things you would like to see added to the site, please feel free to post those suggestions here in the comments.
Requests
We here at T21 would love to start posting articles on local theater and music acts. So, if you attend a show, please send us an article, an interview, some photos to help us promote these local artists.
Thank you for stopping by,
Carlton Smith
