Editor’s Desk: What’s Happening at Troubadour 21

Jun 27th, 2009 | By Carlton Lloyd Smith | Category: News | 340 views

The first few weeks since the launch of Troubadour 21 have been exciting indeed. Our band of troubadours has been growing steadily, with twelve contributors currently published on the site, and at least two more joining us soon. The reactions to the site have been overwhelmingly positive and we are very happy to have the support of the artistic community around us.

New to the Site

Slowly but surely, we have been adding to the site to make our readers’ experience an enjoyable one. Among these additions, are the Troubadours page, offering an introduction to each of our contributors and the Reader’s Choice page, giving our readers a guide to our most popular contributions. In the future we would also like to add a comments page, or a reader’s forum to give you a place to let us know what you think about the site.

Social Media

Troubadour 21 is now on Twitter and Facebook, as well as Networked Blogs offering you multiple ways to follow what is happening here. Just click the highlighted links and join in!

Mobile Troubadours

We have recently added a feature to the site that makes Troubadour 21 very easy to read and view from your mobile device. So, even when you’re on the go, stop by Troubadour21.com and see what’s happening here!

Events

Do you have an event you think that Troubadour 21 would be interested in? Let us know about your open mic events, art shows and performances by sending us an email at events@troubadour21.com and we’d be happy to help you spread the word. Our mission here is to promote art and artists, and posting these events is an important part of it.

Up and Coming

Very soon, along with all of the content you have seen already, we will begin posting about shows featuring local bands and theater groups. We’d like to promote these arts as well as the ones you already see on the site. For this, though, we need your help. As we are currently only a small band of artists and writers we can’t be everywhere at once, so if you’ve recently seen a show that you think we should hear about, send us an email with your experience of the event at submissions@troubadour21.com.

Suggestions?

Do you have a suggestion for our site? Feel free to send us a note at editors@troubadour21.com and let us know. We are just getting started here, and your input will help us provide you with the best possible experience here at the site.

Support the Site

If you notice, on the right side of the screen we have a little space set aside for a bit of advertising. Please take a look at these when you stop by, and if something interests you, follow the link and check it out. Every time you click one of these links you help us keep this site up and running.

Most of all we’d like to say thanks for stopping by and perusing our site. We hope you like what you see!
